Which isn't actually a bad suggestion at all - they have culture, a thriving art scene, and big old-school trams, which are all things I like :) It also suggests going on a San Francisco Segway tour, and I have actually been on Segways before - crazy things! If they were cheaper and easily parkable I would totally have a Segway. It's a bit like skiing (not something I do often, I'll point out - I did it once, and was rubbish), but you lean to turn in the same way. Although, being a tiny tiny person, I was a bit light for the Segway, so going over rough ground, where it has to use your weight to work out if you are still standing on it or have fallen off, it got a bit confused and kept stopping. Segways are obviously meant for larger beasts than I. Still, with the price of a burger in San Fran (£1.32) I could easily stuff my face a bit to make Segwaying a bit easier. Plus, it's all hills over there - Segways make hills easy-peasy.
